At Rizzle, our goal has always been to enable you to make the most of your talent and creativity by providing a creator-first short video platform with world-class creation tools and positive communities. The content and love we’ve seen from you have been incredible!
Now, we have some bittersweet news to share.
On the sweeter side, Rizzle is expanding. We will be adding video templates for businesses and onboarding brands onto the platform over the next few months. With that, we’re looking to bridge the gap between creators and brands, bringing opportunities for brands to find and work with creators in various ways. We’re confident that this will bring better monetization opportunities for creators overall.
But, in order to make this happen, starting January 23, 2023, Rizzle will transition into a video creation and editing platform. You will be able to continue creating high-quality, unique short videos and share them without watermarks on your favorite social media platforms. In a future update, we will bring the ability to directly share to TikTok, Reels, and Shorts effortlessly. Whatever your favorite Rizzle features might be – Prompts, Templates, Filmi, Loops, Transitions, Filmi+, etc. – it will all still be available for you. And we’ll continue to evolve the app with even better creation features!
We’ve had an amazing journey, growing to over 75M downloads and 34M monthly active users, enabling you to grow your audiences and build communities. While we would love to keep going, we also realize we’re on a collision path with TikTok, YouTube Shorts, and Instagram Reels, all platforms with far more resources than we have to support a general-purpose social short video platform. We realized that we’re not as likely to be able to help you monetize your content in that path given what it will take to grow to those levels of scale.
Instead, we are going to do what we do best and find a different way to support creators. With more focused efforts around making video creation wonderful for creators and businesses alike, we can create the best outcome.
Don’t worry, channels and videos are here to stay. You can continue organizing your content the way you wish, in a way that is only uniquely possible on Rizzle! We will continue to bring prompts organized by topics for you to get innovative ideas to make videos about.
We’re so grateful for all of you who have supported the Rizzle journey. You made Rizzle one of the best short video platforms. You brought life to our challenges and contests and made countless memories while creating content. Not to mention all the great short series that have had their debut on Rizzle!
As they say, change is inevitable. Change is constant.
As difficult as this transition may be, on the other side lie opportunities to connect with brands and monetize your content. And we’ll look forward to that.
Oh, and one more thing! We’re going to be using AI to bring some super exciting video creation possibilities in the next couple of months – stay tuned!
